talking about inspiration
hi,
gabs here - mostly known as evitangel around digiland! it’s my very first post here on vera’s blog and I can tell you I am nervous
okay, what are we gonna talking about? it’s a new year, new start and maybe new inspiration? I always have a little refresh for the new year. cleaning the house, cleaning my computer that means sorting all the kits, save everything and so on. so I did and realized there are many kits to be deleted or to be moved on an external drive. but not the ones by vera. and I thought: why? why does vera’s ones stay on their place they have forever now?. and guess what the answer is? her goodies inspires me every time. they go so well with every kind of photo and theme and I can do a page very quickly.
right now I looked around and thought about: what inspires me? and guess what: it’s my little kitty - laying in front of the window, watching outside, sleeping and just enjoying her evening (yes, we are already on eve here in germany). so normally I don’t do pages with my kitty because it is really hard for me to scrap her. so I challenged myself and as I talked to you here I got inspired to scrap this pic right ahead. I opened my Vera folder and this is what I came up with after 30 minutes

that’s inspiration and fun to me - just open my eyes, look around, take a pic - do a page!
and now as I told you so much of my secret why I do so many pages LOL I wanna know something about your inspiration. let me know what inspires you. why do you open your kit-files and start a page? you don’t have to do a page but if you do one, link us up please!
and as a little treat Vera will give away those awesome worded overlays as used on my page above and as mentioned on the tuesday post. 1 package for every 20 comments! so isn’t that worth to give it a try?
have an inspired week,
gabs

My inspirations…hmmm….scraplifting, templates, and occasionally I’ll just see what I can do with a kit and then find a picture to match. I’m not usually to creative on my own.
Anything and everything inspires me. Templates inspire me, a photo, a kit. I just sit back and see what comes and from where. And most important, I enjoy the process.
I love to look at other designs, to see what they did with items from a kit, thinking about how to achieve that same look. Also just the colors of a kit can give me crazy ideas, and then I won’t leave the computer alone
My biggest inspirations are my two kids. They’re five and four, and I think it’s so important to document their childhoods for them. Every day they say or do something that is an inspiration for me to scrap!
I definitely agree that Vera’s kits are classic and timeless. They can be used for so many different layout themes.
Inspiration for me comes in seeing things through my children’s eyes and spending time in digi galleries. Quite often the layouts I am drawn to have vera’s kits so I have to go get them (I’ve shopped many a time at the store). When I’m in a funk or just need to get pages done so I don’t feel so far behind I love using templates and jazzing them up a bit. It’s a great way to get things done fast and feel like I’ve accomplished something.
I get inspired to create pages at night after everyone has gone to bed. The silence in the house allows me to relax and create a page that really speaks the mood of the photos.
My greatest inspiration is getting a picture of my grandchildren or some special event they have been a part of. Thanks for a chance to win!
My inspiration is as varied as my layouts! LOL Sometimes it’s the new kit I’ve gotten (or a small part of the new kit!), sometimes an ad, sometimes a photo I just HAVE to scrap, sometimes a challenge…
I’m usually inspired by the photos… Only occasionally do I start with a kit or colors, etc…
My family is my greatest inspiration but I also enjoy and am inspired by challenges…either from a site, book or of my own creation. But that inspiration is then ehanced by kits, colors, my mood (LOL), photos, everyday living…my LOs just come together. Some LOs come together quickly and others seem to take their time! If I get in a rut, I choose a template or browse the galleries of my favorite page designers.
My inspiration most often comes from my photos. I love to dig through my stash and find things that capture the mood of the time they were taken. Although I have on a few occasions specifically taken pictures that I knew would look wonderful with a particular favorite kit. LOL
Your layout is adorable, and listening to you “talk” was delightful!

Here is my inspiration…. Thanks for the scrap idea!!!
Definitely my kids inspire me - the things they do and say just have to be preserved.
My little girl is my #1 inspiration, she’s only 2 so everything is wonderous, funny, amazing , etc in her eyes and that transfers over to mine. Other times I’ll see a kit that just call out to me and right then and there a photo will pop in my head and I know they go together.
my kids definitely inspire me - and the galleries.
Usually, I look at a kit and then think what picture might fit it best. Or sometimes a quote or picture just asks to be scrapped.
Thanks!!
